Important Information about DR Obonna’s Surgery, at Southwick Health Centre
Dr Obonna made the decision to retire on 30th September 2019. This meant that patients would have to register with another GP practice.
Patients were allowed to stay with Dr Obonna’s practice until 30th September, however were being urged to register with another practice as soon as possible. This was o ensure patients could continue to receive GP services without any delay.
Anyone who remained on the list after 1 October 2019 was contacted, to let them know that the practice had closed, and that they would be allocated to a different practice.
Patients could register with any GP of their choice, as long as they lived within the practice boundary. GP practices could be found at www.nhs.uk.
There are currently two other GP practices delivering services at Southwick Health Centre. These are:

- Dr Weatherhead – 0191 502 6700
A drop-in information session was held at the practice on Thursday 18th July, where patients had the opportunity to ask any questions and find out more information.
